Qualifications

• Minimum two years of sports/news reporting experience preferred.
• Proficient with newsroom technology and standard office equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce, report, write, and anchor sports content under deadline for TV, digital, and social platforms.
• Deliver accurate, engaging coverage while upholding journalistic standards.
• Cover breaking sports news and major events.
• Shoot, edit, and manage video content for broadcasts and digital channels.
• Develop story ideas and coordinate comprehensive sports coverage.
• Publish content for station website and digital platforms.
• Engage with viewers via social media and community appearances.
• Maintain video equipment and perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce, report, write, and anchor sports content under deadline for television, digital, and social media platforms.
• Deliver accurate, engaging coverage while maintaining high standards of journalism and production quality.
• Cover breaking sports news and major sporting events.
• Shoot, edit, and manage video content for broadcasts and digital channels.
• Develop story ideas, research topics, and coordinate comprehensive sports coverage.
• Write and publish content for the station website and digital platforms.
• Engage with viewers and audiences through social media and community appearances.
• Maintain video equipment and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Strong knowledge of sports, sports culture and sports-related topics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent on-air presentation skills.
• Prefer minimum two years of sports /news reporting experience (market-dependent).
• Proficiency with newsroom technology, computer systems, and standard office equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Pre-employment background screening required.
