Job summary

The Bay Club Company is seeking a friendly front desk associate to welcome members and guests on arrival, check them in, and handle guest registrations and reservations. You will provide information about club programming, facilities, and services, while delivering a luxury hospitality experience.

Strong communication and professionalism are essential. Responsibilities include operating the desk, processing payments, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting club events.

This position is responsible for checking in members and guests upon their arrival to the Club, creating a positive first impression , and maintaining a clean and inviting reception area . Associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, creating an environment of hospitality and luxury, and consistently demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Customer Service
  • Greet members and guests upon arrival to the Club
  • Check members in by swiping their membership card
  • Ensure all guests to the Club fully complete a Guest Registration Waiver and pay any applicable Guest Fees
  • B ook appointments , program and class reservations for members
  • Provide information regarding Club programming and facilities
  • Deliver exceptional service experience to members, guests, and Associates with a goal of retaining guest s for repeat business
Reception Desk Oversight
  • Operate cash register
  • Process payments
  • Manage/handle cash and balance cash drawer each shift.
  • Perform opening and/or closing duties, as required
  • Answer and transfer phone calls
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and stock levels of Sports Desk, Lobby area and lobby retail and/or marketing campaign displays
Communicat ion and Re lationships
  • Communicate timely and follow up, as appropriate
  • Provide membership sales team with guest/prospect lead contact information
  • Active participation in required events, required programs, required meetings and required trainings
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Flexibility in work schedule, as job may require day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

SKILL S & KNOWLEDGE
  • Policies and Regulations — Knowledge of company polices .
  • W ritten Comprehension and Expression — A bility to read , understand and communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand .
  • Oral Comprehension and Expression — Ability to understand and communicate so others can understand ideas and information.
  • Computer – Ability to utilize spa so ftware program and email communication software, such as Microsoft Outlook .
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • At least one year experience in the hospitality industry or related service position preferred.
