Job summary

The Bay Club Company in San Diego seeks a friendly front desk receptionist to welcome members and guests, check them in, process payments, and answer calls. You’ll help book classes, provide club information, and uphold a luxurious hospitality standard.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in hospitality, strong communication, and familiarity with spa software and Outlook. This on-site role offers full-time hours, PTO, health insurance, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

  • Policies and Regulations - Knowledge of company polices.
  • Written Comprehension and Expression - Ability to read, understand and communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
  • Oral Comprehension and Expression -Ability to understand and communicate so others can understand ideas and information.
  • Computer - Ability to utilize spa software program and email communication software, such as Microsoft Outlook.
  • At least one year experience in the hospitality industry or related service position preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests upon arrival to the Club
  • Check members in by swiping their membership card
  • Ensure all guests to the Club fully complete a Guest Registration Waiver and pay any applicable Guest Fees
  • Book appointments, program and class reservations for members
  • Provide information regarding Club programming and facilities
  • Deliver exceptional service experience to members, guests, and Associates with a goal of retaining guests for repeat business
  • Operate cash register
  • Process payments
  • Manage/handle cash and balance cash drawer each shift.
  • Perform opening and/or closing duties, as required
  • Answer and transfer phone calls
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and stock levels of Sports Desk, Lobby area and lobby retail and/or marketing campaign displays
  • Communicate timely and follow up, as appropriate
  • Provide membership sales team with guest/prospect lead contact information
  • Active participation in required events, required programs, required meetings and required trainings
  • Flexibility in work schedule, as job may require day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays

  • Standing is as needed.
