YMCA of San Diego County is seeking a Sports and Teens Coordinator to supervise youth and adult sports, lead teen programming, and promote community engagement in San Diego. This role oversees staff, volunteers, leagues, clinics, and camps with a focus on quality programming and participant safety.
The position includes developing schedules, managing rosters, and supporting the Leaders in Training and teen curriculum, creating leadership opportunities for teens and personal growth.
The Sports and Teens Coordinator supervises and coordinates youth and adult sports programs, while leading teen programming initiatives. Responsibilities include program development and growth, staff and volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision, as well as community outreach and engagement. The Coordinator oversees youth officials, instructors, coaches, and program staff for leagues, clinics, and activities, while ensuring quality programming and participant safety. This position is also responsible for promoting participation, developing league and clinic schedules, managing rosters, and implementing new sports and teen programs. Additionally, the Coordinator supports Summer Camp through the oversight and development of Leaders in Training (LIT), Teen Camp, and teen curriculum, creating meaningful opportunities for leadership, personal growth, and engagement for teens.
