Job summary

LA28 is seeking a Sport Services Lead for Belmont Shore, overseeing planning and administrative functions for Sailing, Open Water Swimming and Rowing events during the Los Angeles 2028 Games. You will coordinate with International Federations, athletes, officials and staff, recruit and train volunteers, and ensure smooth operations across venues.

The role requires strong project management, excellent English, and experience with major events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years equivalent professional experience required.
• Experience collaborating with National and International Federations and knowledge of their structure and functioning during national and international events.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of the operational elements required for organizing major sports events/competitions.
• Experience in international sporting events.
• Experience in working with an International Federation is an advantage.
• Experience managing a team (staff and volunteers) at major events.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent level of English written and spoken is essential.
• Experience or knowledge of coastal/water sports is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and be the dedicated sport contact person for organizing visits from the International Federation in coordination with the Sport Managers and Operations teams.
• Coordinate services-related matters with the International Federation, including accommodation, transportation, accreditation, and hospitality.
• Advocate for and coordinate services for Athletes, Technical Officials, IF Staff and IF guests.
• Serve as primary contact for NOC/NPC services teams and ensure effective communication.
• Recruit, train, and manage sport-specific volunteers and operational staff.
• Lead planning and logistics for testing events and Games-time operations.
