Job summary

LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games seeks a Sport Manager – Canoe to lead competition management, design venues, and coordinate with international federations for Canoe Sprint/Slalom. You will drive event operating plans, schedules, and workforce recruitment for a world-class Games delivery in Los Angeles.

You will work closely with LA28 sport planning, venue operations, and IF stakeholders to ensure integration of sport delivery plans and testing across pre-Games and Games-time activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication, team building, and interpersonal skill.
• Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Office suite proficiency including Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with International Canoe Federation for development and design of competition and training venues.
• Coordinate with LA28 Venues/Infrastructure and input into venue design and planning.
• Act as subject matter expert for Canoe Sprint/Slalom in event operating plans and scheduling.
• Collaborate with the ICF on competition and training schedules for Canoe Sprint/Slalom.
• Validate sport equipment requirements to meet ICF standards.
• Lead recruitment and day-to-day leadership of Canoe Sprint/Slalom workforce.
• Manage pre-Games IF site visits and produce site visit reports and presentations.
• Provide inputs to SDP and sport delivery plans for Canoe Sprint/Slalom.
