Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Specialist - Sport & Outdoor to energize athletes and guide them to the right gear, while delivering an engaging, athlete-first experience on the floor.

You will drive sales, support service execution, and bring energy to every athlete interaction. The role emphasizes teamwork, product knowledge, and adherence to store standards, safety policies, and loss-prevention practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by engaging athletes to understand their needs and provide knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Assists with onboarding and training of new team members as subject matter expert in their area.
• Demonstrates efficiency in process execution while maintaining an athlete-first mindset.
• Upholds merchandising and presentation standards with floor plans, signage, price changes, and replenishment.
• Promotes customer participation in company programs such as loyalty, warranty sales, and private label enrollment.
• Creates an inclusive store environment with respect, safety, and adherence to policies and procedures.
