DICK’S Sporting Goods, Inc. is seeking a Specialist – Sport & Outdoor to drive sales and deliver an engaging, athlete-first experience in store. You’ll help athletes discover the right gear, provide knowledgeable product information, and contribute to a high-energy shopping environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, onboarding and training, and adherence to safety and merchandising standards while offering a benefits-rich workplace and opportunities for growth within a retail-focused team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and provide knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Anticipates the needs of the athlete; actively drives sales through product and services recommendations and a deep understanding of athlete needs.
• Assists with onboarding and training of new and existing team members as subject matter expert of their area of the store, focusing on best practices and key operational processes.
• Serves as a go-to expert in designated process categories, ensuring smooth execution and high productivity.
• Demonstrates efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete-first mindset; ensures products are ready for athletes to purchase and athletes are engaged when, where, and how they want.
• Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
• Promotes and drives customer participation in company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
• Creates a store environment where everyone, both teammates and athletes, are always welcome and treated with respect.
• Adheres to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures, as well as to laws/guidelines of external governing entities.
