Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Specialist – Sport & Outdoor to drive sales and deliver an engaging, athlete-first shopping experience. You will help athletes find the right gear while contributing to a team that lives and breathes sport.

In this role you’ll train through onboarding, support store operations, and maintain merchandising standards to ensure a world-class customer experience from the floor to checkout.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and provide clear, accurate information about products and assortment.
• Assists with onboarding and training of new and existing team members as subject matter expert for their area of the store.
• Demonstrates efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete-first mindset.
• Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards by following floor set plans, signage requirements, and price changes.
• Promotes and drives customer participation in company programs (loyalty, warranty sales, card enrollment).
• Creates a store environment where teammates and athletes are welcomed and treated with respect, following safety and SOPs.
