Job summary

CMCS in New York is seeking an ambitious Sponsorships and Events Manager to lead planning and execution of fundraising events that support our mission and impact local families.

The role requires building sponsorships, managing budgets and volunteers, and collaborating with marketing to maximize attendance and revenue. You will own revenue goals, cultivate sponsors and donors, coordinate venues and vendors, track commitments and provide forecasts to leadership. A bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of event planning, sponsorship development or related nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Experience supervising staff, volunteers, vendors, or event teams.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and writing skills.
• Proficiency in DonorPerfect, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to learn new fundraising tools.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own sponsorship and event revenue goals and plan to meet or exceed them.
• Build and manage a pipeline of sponsors, donors, vendors, and in-kind partners.
• Coordinate venues, vendors, contracts, event logistics, registration, and day-of operations.
• Develop sponsorship outreach strategies, schedules, and follow-up plans tied to revenue targets.
• Track commitments, payments, and progress; provide revenue forecasts to the VP of Philanthropy.
• Collaborate with Digital Marketing & Communications on event materials, sponsor visibility and audience engagement.
• Recruit, train, and direct volunteers for CMCS events.
