Job summary

Randstad USA seeks a detail-oriented Event Manager to develop and lead strategy that supports business goals and training processes. You will manage a growing events team and support new venue locations with growth, all onsite at our New York offices.

You will handle calendars, budgets, vendor negotiations, and onsite staffing, ensuring events align with brand standards and deliver ROI. Travel ~30% and cross‑functional collaboration are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in event management.
  • Experience leading a large events team and hiring/coaching staff.
  • Experience opening new facilities and establishing workflows in new spaces.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management systems.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines; travel ~30%.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Event Manager to join our growing team! In this role, you will develop and lead strategy that supports business goals and training processes. Beyond daily event execution, you will play a key role in managing a growing team and supporting new venue locations with growth.

Please note, this team works fully onsite at the offices in New York, NY.

Job Description:
  • Provide high-level management support to nearby headquarters and develop training processes to continually develop operations
  • Create high-touch events consistent with brand standards
  • Strong in data and budget management, task prioritization and operational efficiencies
  • Conduct event management tasks from start to finish including maintaining event calendar and budgets, negotiation with vendors, invoice processing, production of event materials, and onsite staffing
  • Leverage our events management platform to track events, manage RSVPs pre-and-post event and ROI analysis
  • Manage event staff onsite which includes speaker management, coordination with vendors, registration desk management, distribution of materials, oversight of presentations/AV needs, etc.
  • Coordinate post-event tasks such as final data management and event debrief documents
  • Liaise with other lines of business in order to leverage and consolidate ideas, shared resources and cross sell event opportunities; manage venue management in region venues
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6 years’ prior experience in event management related activities
  • Experience managing a large Events team with capability in hiring and coaching employees
  • Experience with opening new facilities, onboarding new staff, and establishing workflows in a new space
  • Microsoft Products (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and Event Management systems
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to problem solve and offer creative solutions
  • Multi-task and work under tight deadlines
  • This position may require working outside of regular business hours and approximately 30% travel on average
