Job summary

The University of Maryland, College Park's Center for Global Sustainability is seeking a Financial Services Coordinator to support finance, procurement, and sponsored research operations.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, this role works with principal investigators, CGS leadership, university offices, sponsors, and vendors to ensure compliant and timely financial activities, reporting, and closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; professional budget, finance, or accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of finance functions and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-award and post-award financial coordination for CGS.
• Prepare budgets and route proposals through university systems.
• Monitor sponsored project expenses and assist with financial reporting.
• Coordinate procurement, vendor management, and accounts payable processes.
• Provide responsive customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
