Job summary

OnTrac Logistics, Inc. in Spokane, WA is seeking an Area Manager to oversee all sort activities and volume within an assigned area, leading a team of Package Handlers to maintain safety and efficiency in a fast-paced facility.

You will report to the facility's Operations Manager, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes that improve business outcomes. This onsite role requires 2+ years in logistics with leadership, strong data skills, and solid communication.

Qualifications

• GED/Diploma required.
• BA/BS college degree in related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of industry experience with at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership.
• Ability to evaluate and summarize data and present answers clearly.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area.
• Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings and communicate daily goals, safety priorities, and events.
• Record and manage departures/arrivals of and the flow of volume from designated Linehauls.
• Execute administrative duties including safety training, audits, and end-of-shift reporting.
