Job summary

OnTrac is hiring an Area Manager in Spokane, WA to lead a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers at the facility. You will monitor performance, drive improvements, and ensure safety and efficiency in daily operations.

The role requires strong leadership, data analysis, and communication skills, with experience in hiring, training, and performance reviews. OnTrac offers a comprehensive benefits package and a 24/7 operational environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of industry experience in logistics, shipping, or 3PL with leadership exposure.
• Strong data evaluation and summarization skills with ability to present findings clearly.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and evaluating employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback, identify improvement areas, and address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings and communicate daily goals, events and safety priorities.
• Record and manage departures/arrivals and flow of volume from designated Linehauls.
• Execute safety training, operational audits, and end-of-shift reporting.
