About the Role

As a SPLUNK Systems Engineer Advisor, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter by:

1. Designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
2. Conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and maintaining Splunk infrastructure solutions.
3. Supporting systems integration efforts involving hardware, software, operating systems, and communications interoperability, and maintaining the Splunk Environment.
4. Managing distributed deployment architecture, index clusters, and search head clusters.
5. Developing dashboards, reports, and complex custom queries.
6. Creating and managing Splunk knowledge objects.
7. Providing technical design, programming, testing, and implementation support for operating, communications, and hardware systems integration of Splunk data.
8. Normalizing disparate data sets, integrating multiple data streams and feeds from networks and infrastructure services into near real-time dashboards for analysis.
9. Preparing specifications, code, system tests, indexers, forwarders, and documentation in accordance with standards and requirements.
10. Supporting installation of physical and software components.
11. Collaborating with stakeholders to solve technical problems at network, system, and application levels.
12. Supervising other engineers or technicians on assigned work, as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree or 4 additional years of related experience.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• Technical expertise in Splunk engineering and administration.
• Security Clearance: Secret or Top Secret.
• Location: Hybrid, based in Washington, DC.

Salary and Benefits

The likely salary range is $138,072 - $186,804, based on experience, location, and contractual requirements. Benefits and total rewards details are available on our website.
