Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) seeks a Splunk Platform Engineer to support AEDC at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. You will administer Splunk Enterprise infrastructure and Linux-based systems, ensuring security, uptime, and optimal performance for mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities include data ingestion, searches, dashboards, and automation, with DoD compliance and after-hours support as needed. This is a full-time role located at Arnold AFB, TN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years IT experience) and 5 years of progressive IT experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance and AEDC access.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.

Responsibilities

• Administer and sustain Splunk Enterprise infrastructure, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrading, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management.
• Perform Linux system-administration tasks to support Splunk instances, including permissions, filesystems, storage, services, and patching.
• Configure, operate, and maintain Splunk components (search heads, indexers, deployment servers, forwarders, license management).
• Monitor health and performance of Splunk infrastructure and take corrective actions.
• Develop SPL searches, dashboards, alerts, and knowledge objects to support requirements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field

4 years IT-related experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
