Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting career opportunity for a Splunk Platform Engineer to join our team at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. You will design, administer, operate, secure, and sustain the Splunk Enterprise platform and its Linux-based infrastructure for US Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

The role requires strong Linux administration, Splunk expertise, security compliance, and automation using Bash, Python, Ansible, and Git. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT-related field or 4 years of IT-related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in administering Splunk Enterprise and supporting Linux-based infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of security requirements and ability to implement STIGs and compliance controls.

Responsibilities

• Administer and sustain Splunk Enterprise infrastructure, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrading, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management of Splunk components and supporting OS.
• Perform Linux system-administration tasks to support Splunk instances (accounts, file systems, services, patching, performance tuning).
• Configure, operate, and maintain Splunk components (search heads, indexers, deployment servers, forwarders, license management, clusters).
• Develop, maintain, and optimize SPL searches, dashboards, alerts, and knowledge objects to support operational, cyber, infrastructure, and customer requirements.
