Job summary

Innova Solutions seeks a Splunk Platform Engineer / Splunk Administrator to lead a large-scale Splunk environment in a hybrid, multi-location setup. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security log ingestion while partnering with Security, Architecture, and Operations teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years with Splunk Enterprise or Cloud, expertise in clustering, SPL, and production support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with large-scale Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in Search Head Clustering, Indexer Clustering, and SPL.
• Experience with security log ingestion and SIEM operations in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate a large-scale Splunk environment ensuring availability, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Information Security, SOC, Architecture, Engineering, and Operations teams.
• Deploy and manage Splunk apps and configurations; provide production support and RCA when issues arise.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Splunk Platform Engineer / Splunk Administrator

Position type: Contract/FTE

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ, Plano, TX and Jersey City, NJ - (Hybrid 3 days in office)

As a Splunk Platform Engineer / Splunk Administrator, you will:

Be a Splunk Platform Engineer to serve as the trusted owner of a large-scale Splunk environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the availability, scalability, reliability, and performance of Splunk infrastructure while partnering with Information Security, SOC, Architecture, Engineering, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Splunk Enterprise/Cloud, security log ingestion, SIEM operations, platform administration, and production support within mission-critical environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

5+ years of hands‑on experience supporting large-scale Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud environments. Strong expertise in:

• Search Head Clustering
• Indexer Clustering
• Universal Forwarders
• SPL (Search Processing Language)
• Search Optimization
• Summary Indexing
• Security Log Ingestion
• SIEM Operations
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Platform Stability Initiatives

Strong Linux administration experience.

Experience deploying and managing Splunk applications and configurations.

Experience working in 24x7 production support environments.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $70.00 - $71.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
