Job summary

CableCom, LLC is seeking a Coax Splicer to perform upgrades and splicing tasks both aerial and underground in Snohomish, WA. You will test and troubleshoot equipment post-installation and ensure all work meets strict industry standards.

This role requires a valid US driver's license, ability to pass a DOT physical, and comfort with working at heights. Company-provided safety training supports a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Six months of coax splicing experience or one year in telecommunications.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical card.
• Willingness to work at heights and in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely work at heights, from underground to aerial installations.
• Complete daily vehicle maintenance and document work in reports.

What you’ll do

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• Six months of coax splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industry
• Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work in confined space, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: use ladder and gaffs for climbing poles

The wage range for Splicer I Coax is$23.00 - $26.00.
