Job summary

Future Infrastructure, LLC is seeking a hardworking Fiber Splicing Technician to join our telecommunications team. You will splice, fuse, and terminate fiber for new installations and repairs, install cables and enclosures, and perform testing to ensure minimal signal loss in diverse field environments.

Applicants should have 1–3 years of fiber experience, be able to read diagrams, and travel to job sites. A high school diploma or GED is required, with safety and teamwork emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical training in fiber optics preferred.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in fiber optic splicing, installation, and maintenance.
  • Hands-on with fusion splicing and testing equipment; read blueprints/diagrams.
  • Ability to travel to job sites and live locally.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fiber splicing, fusion, and termination for installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Install fiber cable, splice enclosures, and related components on site.
  • Conduct fiber testing and troubleshooting to minimize signal loss.
  • Document work logs, test results, materials, and issues; submit reports promptly.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and collaborate with team and customers.
