Job summary

Magnera Corporation is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee an asset's safety, uptime, quality, waste, rate, and cost performance. You will lead team members, ensure adherence to JSAs, SOPs, 6S, and systems, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing, supervisory experience, and strong skills in safety leadership, risk assessment, and data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher recommended.
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of related manufacturing experience.
• Experience using PC software: Outlook, Excel, Windows, Word.

Responsibilities

• Ensure asset safety, uptime, quality, waste, rate and cost performance for assigned area.
• Lead and direct assigned team members to perform duties and follow JSAs, SOPs, 6S and systems.
• Promote safety through engagement and communication of safe work expectations.
• Investigate line/equipment stoppages due to safety risks and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct risk assessments and drive corrective/preventive actions to reduce EH&S risks.
• Lead required safety meetings (Pre-shift, Department, Change Management).
• Complete incident investigations and root cause analysis; implement actions.
• Train and develop assigned employees; set unit goals and monitor progress.
• Provide performance feedback and coordinate additional training as needed.
• Utilize ISO procedures, control charts and SPC tools; recommend improvements.
• Develop and maintain procedures and controls to meet quality standards.
• Prepare reports and communicate customer specifications/changes.
• Participate in continuous improvement within Safety, Quality, Logistics, Process and Operations.
• Communicate changes in business, production schedules and policies.
• Present asset results and explain downtime, waste, quality, rate and future prevention.
