Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to anticipate surgeon needs, assemble equipment, and support sterile technique throughout procedures. You will work closely with the circulating nurse to ensure smooth operations and patient safety in a fast-paced OR environment.

The role requires familiarity with surgical instrumentation, aseptic practices, and strong teamwork, with a focus on patient-centered care and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Awareness of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in healthcare.
• Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and laws at various jurisdictions.
• Ability to read and follow surgeon dictated instructions and maintain aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and keeps the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure.
• Maintains high standards and quality in facilitating cost savings and containment.
• Assembles all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to the procedure.
• Supports customer and employee satisfaction activities; maintains relations with physicians and staff; responds to complaints in a timely manner.
• Monitors aseptic technique and takes corrective action for breaks in technique.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
