Job summary

UW Medical Center-Northwest Spine Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to deliver neurosurgical services across outpatient, inpatient, and operating room settings.

The role includes pre-surgical clearance, perioperative care, rounds, care coordination, and participation in QI activities; WA licensure, DEA, BLS and ACLS are required. This is a 40-hour-per-week position with a 7:00 am–5:30 pm window and some variability by week.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Washington State ARNP licensure or Physician Assistant licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• DEA prescriptive authority, BLS and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient and inpatient neurosurgical care with pre-surgical clearance and coordination.
• Daily rounds, postoperative care, progress notes, and care plans.
• Assist with procedures (lumbar punctures, drain placements) as needed.
• Coordinate with endocrinology, internal medicine, neurology and ENT teams.
