Job summary

University of Washington in Seattle seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for the Neurological Surgery Clinic at UW Medical Center-Montlake. The role is full-time, 4x10s, 7:00am–5:30pm, with Monday–Friday shifts that vary by week.

Responsibilities include outpatient and inpatient neurosurgical care, pre- and post-operative management, and coordination with multiple specialty teams.

Qualifications

• Previous neurosurgery experience preferred.
• DEA prescriptive authority required.
• Current and valid Washington State ARNP or PA licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient and inpatient neurosurgical care delivery.
• Pre-surgical clearance, H&P, coordination with anesthesia and inpatient teams.
• Post-operative clinic visits, medication management and follow-up.
• Daily rounds and documentation of progress notes.
• Coordinate care with endocrine, internal medicine, neurology, ENT and ID teams.
