Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in Aurora, CO seeks physicians to join the SCI/D section for inpatient spinal cord injury care. The staff physician will oversee clinical coverage, SCI/D consults, and interdisciplinary collaboration within the VA system.

Responsibilities include leadership of the SCI/D team, education of residents and staff, and participation in program development and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required; VA policy strict on citizen status
• MD/DO degree from an approved school
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in US
• Residency training approved by VA or equivalent
• Board certification or eligibility for SCI/D specialty preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical coverage for inpatient SCI/D unit.
• Lead SCI/D consult team and coordinate sub-specialty care.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team across multiple disciplines.
• Educate residents, medical students, and staff.
• Participate in program development, performance improvement and policy implementation
