Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Hampton VAMC, seeks a Physician with PMR specialty and SCI expertise to lead clinical and administrative activities in the Spinal Cord Injury and Disorders Service. The physician will deliver PMR evaluations, provide patient care, and supervise clinical staff.

Applicants should have an MD/DO, unrestricted license in the United States, and board certification in PMR with SCI subspecialty preferred. VA experience and teaching responsibilities may be involved.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed physician in the United States or equivalent.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Board certification in PMR with SCI subspecialty is preferred.
• Residency training in an accredited program is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PMR evaluations and treatments for the general SCI population.
• Offer consultations to professional staff and community providers.
• Serve as a clinical leader with full clinical privileges.
• Maintain licensure and engage in education of Veterans and trainees.
