Job summary

The Marzetti Company is seeking a Spice Mixer for the 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm-4:00am) to produce sauces and dressings by blending ingredients and operating mixing equipment. You will weigh ingredients, run pumps, and ensure batch quality while maintaining schedules and providing samples to the lab as required.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical and math skills, and good communication abilities.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively - verbally & written - with team members & management.
Basic mechanical aptitude and strong math skills are required.
Ability to read and interpret written and verbal directions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Practices integrity, respect, accountability, continuous improvement and positive interactions with team members and visitors.
Records all information as required.
Weighs ingredients for mixing process.
Rolls or pushes ingredient drums and pallets to weigh and prepare for each batch according to schedule and specifications.
Reads scales and performs arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately.
Operates HMI panels to regulate bulk ingredients and pumping flows.
Maintains standard production quantities/rates for each product.
Cleans and rinses equipment according to procedures.
Monitors equipment for malfunctions; makes minor repairs; reports issues to maintenance.
Coordinates information and equipment with prior and next shifts and leads.
Fills in for and assists other departments when necessary.
