Job summary

The Marzetti Company in Kentucky is seeking a production operator to mix sauces and dressings by loading appropriate lids, operating fillers, and monitoring weights and temperatures. You will document daily production activities and preserve food safety in a climate-controlled facility.

This 1st shift runs Monday through Thursday from 4:00am to 4:00pm, offering hands-on production experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude is required.
• Solid math skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs repetitively.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.

Responsibilities

• Load filler with lids, cups and labels as required by production and packaging.
• Operate the filler and production line as needed.
• Read scales and perform arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately.
• Provide product samples to the lab according to requirements.
• Ensure proper weights and metal detector checks are performed.
• Monitor time and temperature requirements.
• Clean and rinse equipment according to procedures.
• Complete daily documentation for equipment, supplies and products.
• Maintain company standards for cleanliness, food safety and productivity in processing area.
• Support the production supervisor to maintain continuous production.

Position Summary:

Operates mixing equipment, pumps, mills and valves as required to maintain a required production schedule efficiently and accurately. Combines liquid and granular ingredients according to recipe for producing sauces and dressings.

• Loads filler with appropriate product lids, cups, and box labels as required by production and packaging of product.
• Operates filler and production line as appropriate.
• Reads scales and performs arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately.
• Provides product samples to lab according to defined requirements.

• Monitors proper time and temperature requirements.
• Cleans and rinses equipment according to specified procedures.
• Completes all required daily documentation and reporting for equipment, supplies, and products.
• Maintains company standards for cleanliness, food safety and productivity in the processing area.
• Provides support for the production supervisor in maintaining continuous production.
