Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is partnering with an international trading company to hire an experienced spent catalysts trader to join their US trading team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the spent catalysts metals sector.

The role offers autonomy in driving commercial initiatives, building long-term processor relationships, and managing the full trade lifecycle from origination to settlement, with potential remote work in Upstate New York.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in the spent hydrotreating/hydrocracking catalysts trading sector and wider metals sector
• Strong knowledge of the recycled catalyst and wider metals sector (particularly molybdenum, cobalt, nickel, vanadium, and PGMs)
• Willingness to travel for work as necessary
• Entrepreneurial, commercially driven and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Located ideally in Upstate New York, potential for remote work

Responsibilities

• Drive your own commercial initiatives to develop business in the secondary materials market
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with processors to maintain product supply
• Take ownership of full trade lifecycle, from origination and execution to logistics and trade settlement
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure the continuing enterprise is in line with wider commercial strategy of the group
• Reports into Commercial Leadership
