Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search is representing an International Producer and Manufacturer of aluminium and non-ferrous metals seeking a Senior Non-Ferrous RSI Trader to join their Saint Louis, Missouri team. The role covers the lifecycle of the aluminium RSI, including buying, selling and processing, with travel to engage suppliers, customers and processors.

The candidate will work with internal logistics and finance teams to improve operations and expand the current book, and develop relationships

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in aluminium Remelt Scrap Ingot sector with technical and commercial experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; further education preferred.
• Experience in scrap aluminium pricing, supply chain dynamics, and trading platforms.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle lifecycle of aluminium RSI including buying, selling and processing.
• Travel to meet suppliers, consumers, and processors; attend events to build relationships.
• Collaborate with logistics and finance to improve operations and efficiency.
• Grow current book of business and develop new relationships in US and internationally.

Redstone Commodity Search are working with an International Producer and Manufacturer of aluminium and non-ferrous metals looking to hire a Senior Non-Ferrous RSI Trader to join their team based in Missouri.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Handling the lifecycle of the aluminium RSI, including the buying, selling and processing.
• Travel to meet with suppliers, consumers and processors as well as attend events which expand knowledge and develop relationships.
• Utilise other internal teams, such as logistics and finance, and collaborate to improve operations and make them more efficient.
• Building on the current book of business, expanding and curating new relationships with customers and providing solutions in a timely and efficient manner both within the US and internationally.
• Role reports to Vice President of Global Scrap.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• At least 10 years within the aluminium Remelt Scrap Ingot industry – preferably with both the technical understanding and commercial experience.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree is required, further education is preferred.
• Experience within the scrap aluminium market, with an understanding of pricing trends, supply chain dynamics with buyers, and the proficiency in using the trading platforms to perform these tasks.
• Attention to detail is needed, with strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
• Role is to be located in Saint Louis, Missouri, although hybrid remote is possible.
