Job summary

Brex is seeking a Spend Conversion leader in New York to define and own the strategy for migrating enterprise vendor spend onto Brex. You will collaborate with product, implementation, BD, and sales to scale a new AI-enabled function that unlocks significant vendor spend outside the Brex platform.

This high-visibility role offers substantial growth as you build a team and partner with top customers to redefine procurement at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in B2B/commercial card, payments, supplier enablement, or vendor/payment operations.
• Proven experience building a function from 0-to-1 and scaling it with defined processes and KPIs.
• Working knowledge of card acceptance and merchant economics, including DSO/DPO considerations.
• Demonstrated negotiation and influence with vendors and across executives.
• Direct customer-facing experience with enterprise clients and senior relationship management.
• A first-principles, builder mindset driving initiatives in ambiguity.
• Track record of shipping with product, sales/BD, and implementation teams.
• Previous leadership experience or managing programs and people.
• Bonus: experience at a bank/issuer with card programs at scale.
• Deep AI fluency and interest in AI-native workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build the Spend Conversion function from the ground up with strategy, criteria, engagement model, and KPIs.
• Envision cross-functional collaboration with Capital One and 3rd party vendors.
• Own end-to-end vendor spend migration from analysis to card activation.
• Partner with product, implementation, BD, and sales to bring workflows to market.
• Advise enterprise customers, translating goals into migration and negotiation plans.
• Design a differentiated, AI-native approach to supplier enablement.
• Establish operational rigor with tracking, reporting, and incentives.
• Hire and coach a team as the function proves out.
• Champion spend conversion internally and expand share-of-wallet.
