Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Speech Therapy Team Leader to guide a rehabilitation team within our inpatient setting. You will oversee scheduling, staff training, and collaboration with hospital departments while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Lead with empathy and ensure high standards of therapy by implementing policies and leveraging advanced technology in a nationwide rehabilitation network.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire in this role.
• Minimum of three years of experience in speech therapy or leadership, with at least two years of clinical experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Therapy Operations in daily operations of the therapy team: scheduling, orientation, training, and cross‑department communication.
• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding relationships by understanding each patient’s physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid recovery.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
