Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Speech Therapy Team Leader to guide our inpatient therapy services with compassionate, patient-centered leadership. You’ll support the Director of Therapy Operations in daily operations, scheduling, orientation, training, and cross-department collaboration, while delivering direct patient care and fostering meaningful outcomes.

With CCC eligibility, state licensure, CPR, and at least three years of speech-language pathology experience (two in leadership), you’ll

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Director of Therapy Operations in the daily operations of the therapy team, including scheduling, orientation, training, and communication with the speech therapy staff and hospital departments.
• Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
