Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Speech-Language Pathology.
• 3 years clinical experience.
• 2 years supervisory or lead role experience.
• California SLP license required (CA Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board).
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise staff and services provided.
• Evaluate and optimize effectiveness of team members and progression towards outcomes.
• Recruitment, retention, performance appraisals, and coaching/counseling.
• Ensure adequate staffing and optimal resource use to improve practices.
• Participates in program planning and budget planning, and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Direct patient care and monitor operating and budgetary performance (FTEs, timecards).
• Set standards of performance and motivate staff toward achievement.
• May act as Interim Rehab Coordinator with duties including clinical rounding, screening, and interdisciplinary conferences.
