Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital-Northwest Indiana is hiring a PRN Speech Therapist (ST/SLP). The therapist screens, evaluates and educates patients with speech, language, swallowing, voice, and cognitive deficits. Responsibilities include planning and directing rehabilitative and counseling programs to improve communication and swallowing disorders.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana Speech-Language Pathologist License or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate and educate patients with speech, language, dysphagia and related disorders.
• Plan and direct rehabilitative and counseling programs to treat communication disorders.
• Deliver Speech Therapy treatments per established policies and procedures.

The Speech Therapist is responsible for screening, evaluating and educating patients with speech, language, dysphagia, dysarthria, voice, fluency, and cognitive deficits. Speech therapists are also responsible for planning, directing and conducting rehabilitative and counseling programs to treat the above disorders. All Speech Therapy treatments are in accordance with established policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care at all times.

Job Requirements

• Maintainsa current Speech Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist License in state of Indiana
• CurrentBLS certification.
