Job summary

Simpsonville Post Acute in Simpsonville, SC seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time role to deliver high-quality, patient-centered therapy focused on communication, cognition, and swallowing.

The position emphasizes evaluating residents, creating treatment plans, supervising CFYs or students, and coordinating with physicians and the care team to meet goals within regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Active South Carolina SLP license (in good standing).
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred.
• Ability to supervise CFYs or students preferred.
• Familiarity with PCC and Casamba preferred.
• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services per physician orders and care goals.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes per regulations.
• Supervise SLPAs, CFYs, and students as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care conferences, utilization review, and discharge planning.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy and maintenance programs.
• Conduct staff training and in-service education.
• Ensure compliance with state practice act and facility policies.

Position Summary

• Supervise SLPAs, CFYs, and students as appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members

• Conduct staff training and in-service education
