Job summary

Pro Rehab in Boone, IA is seeking a Speech Therapist to join our staff at Westhaven. This PRN/On-Call role offers flexible hours (minimum 6 hours per month) with competitive pay.

Wage is $45-$60 per hour, based on experience. Responsibilities include assessing communication disorders, developing treatment plans, providing therapy, educating patients and families, monitoring progress, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an Accredited Speech Therapy Program and have a bachelor's degree.
• Must possess a current accredited MN Speech Therapist License.
• Must possess strong knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to Home Health care.
• Develop care plans and discharge planning strategies for optimal patient recovery.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and personalized treatment plans.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills to educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and home care practices.
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.

Responsibilities

• Assess & Diagnose Communication Disorders: Evaluate patient needs and deficits such as but not limited to: patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing difficulties.
• Develop & Implement Treatment Plans: Create personalized therapy programs to improve the functional deficits of the patient.
• Provide Speech & Language Therapy: Conduct exercises and interventions to improve communication and speech abilities.
• Educate & Support Patients & Families: Teach strategies for effective communication and techniques to improve daily life.
• Monitor Progress & Adjust Treatment: Track patient improvements, document progress, and modify therapy plans as needed.
• Collaborate with Healthcare & Education Teams: Work with doctors, teachers, and therapists to ensure comprehensive support for patients.

Education
