Job summary

Vista Ridge Senior Care in Austin, TX seeks a Speech Therapist to develop and implement a plan of care for residents and short-term patients. Join an in-house therapy team with smaller daily case loads and new equipment to optimize patient time.

Texas licensure is required (CFY not a fit). This PRN position offers CEU and licensure reimbursements, with salary from $55.00 per hour and a focus on delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current Texas licensure as an SLP is required (CFY not a good fit).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Speech Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients.
• Assist as needed with patient screens for Speech Therapy.
• Communicate progress and any barriers toward SLP goals with interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete timely Speech therapy documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, facility, and payor requirements.
• Assist with maintaining rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner, using infection prevention methods.
• Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each patient’s plan of care and follow-up recommendations.
• Maintain productivity standards as expected by the Director of Rehab or Administrator.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Current Texas licensure as an SLP is required (this position would not be a good fit for a CFY candidate)
