We are hiring a PRN Speech Therapist (SLP) to make Home Health visits.

Salary range: $37.00-$47.00 per hour

Responsibilities

The Speech Therapist in Home Health is responsible for assessing and evaluating patient needs related to speech and language disorders, including communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments.

• Provide services within the scope of practice defined by state laws, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Evaluate patient function using diagnostic and prognostic tests. Assist physicians in developing the therapy plan of care.
• Treat patients to improve communication effectiveness based on their condition, following standards of practice.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members in speech therapy areas where they can participate.

Education and Experience

License Requirements:

• Must be currently licensed in Speech Therapy in Maryland
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation
