Job summary

Saint Mary's Homecare, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Speech Therapist to assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments within patient care plans.

You will work with the health care team to document progress and educate patients and families. The salary range is $78,880 to $118,320 annually for full-time employment, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech Therapist for the state of residence.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days (preferred).
• Available to work weekend rotations (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides speech therapy services within the scope of practice and plan of care.
• Evaluates functional level and assists in developing the therapy plan of care.
• Treats patients to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive function.
• Records progress and reports patient responses to treatment to the supervising nurse/physician.
• Educates patient, family, and caregiver in speech therapy techniques and home exercises.
