Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Maryland seeks a Speech Therapist for Home Health to assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive issues, and to develop and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws and the plan of care.
• Evaluates function and assists in developing the therapy plan of care.
• Treats patients to improve communication; observes and reports progress to the nurse/physician.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in speech therapy techniques.
• Collaborates with the health care team to support patient care goals.
