Job summary

The Therapy Place NJ in New Milford, NJ seeks an experienced, licensed Speech Therapist to join our team. You will meet with new patients, assess speech needs, and create personalized treatment plans to help them reach goals while documenting care and tracking progress.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of speech pathology, provides compassionate care, and demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Active state license for practicing speech therapy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong charting and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients for the first time in their speech journey, answering introductory questions.
• Make evaluations and create treatment plans customized for that patient, working with them to set short and long term goals for their speech and wellness.
• Assist in the implementation of the treatment plan, adjusting as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
• Maintaining excellent records of patient needs, care, and outcome.
• Work closely with the family of the patients and the patients themselves to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success.
