Position: Speech Therapist CFY

The Speech Therapist CFY provides speech and language therapy services to patients in a home health setting. This role is ideal for recent graduates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). The therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders, developing individualized treatment plans to improve outcomes. Supervision and mentorship will be provided by a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions.
• Use standardized tests and observations to diagnose disorders.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans.
• Provide therapy for speech, language, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Utilize various techniques and technologies to meet patient needs.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment accordingly.
• Educate and train patients and families.
• Assist with dietary modifications and safe swallowing strategies.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams and participate in conferences.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.
• Engage in supervision and stay current with advancements in the field.

Qualifications for success:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Temporary CA state license or certification for CFY.
