Note: All roles require visiting patients' homes; remote work is not offered unless specified.

The Speech Therapist CFY will provide speech and language therapy to home health patients. This role is ideal for recent graduates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). The therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders, developing personalized treatment plans with supervision from a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

In this role, you will:

1. Conduct assessments of speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions.
2. Use standardized tests and observations for diagnosis.
3. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
4. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
5. Provide therapy for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
6. Utilize various therapeutic techniques and technologies.
7. Monitor progress and adjust plans accordingly.
8. Educate patients and families about communication and swallowing issues.
9. Train on strategies to improve speech and language skills at home.
10. Advise on dietary modifications and safe swallowing techniques.
11. Work with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and therapists.
12. Participate in care conferences and treatment planning.
13. Maintain clear communication and detailed records.
14. Prepare reports for healthcare providers and insurers.
15. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.
16. Engage in supervision and mentorship sessions.
17. Stay updated with advancements in speech therapy practices.

Qualifications for success:

1. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
2. Temporary CA license or certification for CFY practice.
3. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
4. Valid CA License.
