Position: Speech Therapist CFY

The Speech Therapist CFY will provide speech and language therapy services to patients in a home health setting. This role is suitable for a recent graduate completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). The therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders, developing individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes. Supervision and mentorship will be provided by a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct assessments of speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions.
• Use standardized tests and observations for diagnosis.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Provide therapy for communication and swallowing disorders.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Educate and train patients and families.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.

Requirements for success:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Temporary CA license or certification for CFY.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid CA License.
