Job summary

CareOne Weymouth is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Weymouth, MA, providing skilled communication therapy to residents. The SLP will be assigned to multiple facilities with travel often required, working within an interdisciplinary team to balance resident outcomes and cost-effective treatment.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech Therapy and an active SLP license for the state, with preference for experience in older adult rehabilitation and knowledge of healthcare

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech Therapy.
  • Current and Active Speech Language Pathology license within the state of operations.
  • Prefer experience/knowledge in older adult rehabilitation.
  • Prefer knowledge of governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provides and directs resident rehabilitation care within all generally accepted practice methods, meeting center, state, federal, and accrediting standards.
  • Evaluates residents' needs and establishes effective treatment plans for assigned residents.
  • Manages and coordinates supervision of treatment plans with all staff and disciplines as indicated.
  • Participates in screening of all residents according to directed schedules and practices.
  • Provides feedback to the designated supervisor on all clinical and rehabilitation issues.
  • Participates in all center directed processes and services.
  • Shows effective management of treatment and non-treatment related activities.
  • Performs necessary clinical documentation to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Maintains complete, accurate and timely billing records to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Assists with marketing efforts as directed.
  • Participates in in-service training programs as requested.
  • May travel to other facilities to provide services.

Salary range $50.00 - $65,00 Hourly

Compensation will be based on, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, credentials, employment status, and work schedule

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) overall responsibility is to provide care to the resident at the highest level. The SLP will be assigned to multiple facilities and increased travel time is frequent. The SLP participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, manages resources to meet the needs of the resident and related customers balancing outcomes and cost effective and efficient treatment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
