Job summary

Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking a per diem Speech Therapist to join our dynamic care team. You will perform resident assessments, contribute to care planning, provide direct individualized and group treatments and offer consultation to a general rehab caseload as part of the clinical team.

Education: BS or MS in Speech Therapy; SLP license in Massachusetts; prior long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Therapy.
• Massachusetts SLP license.
• Prior long-term care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Screens residents and develops appropriate care plans.
• Delivers direct resident treatments including individual and group sessions.
• Contributes to team meetings and decision-making processes.
• Consults with and trains residents and caregivers.

Job description

We are hiring per diem Speech Therapist to join our dynamic care team at Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center!

Weekly pay up to $60 an hour.

As a Speech Therapist, you provide resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation to a general rehab caseload while participating in the clinical team process.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Speech Therapy.

• SLP licensein Massachusetts required.

• Prior experience in long term care required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Screens residents and develops appropriate care plans.

• Provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care including individual and group sessions.

• Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program.

• Consults with and trains residents and caregivers.

• Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.

• Documents activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.

• Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.

• Communicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers and supervisor.

• Participates in clinical program development and implementation.
