Job summary

Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking per diem Speech Therapists to join our team in Marlborough, MA. You will assess patients, develop care plans, provide direct treatment, and contribute to the clinical team process.

Responsibilities include supervising assistants and students as required, documenting in the clinical system, and ensuring compliance with Medicare and other regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Speech Therapy required.
• Massachusetts speech-language pathologist license required.
• Prior SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under physician orders, provides direct resident treatments per care plan.
• Documents activities in the clinical documentation system promptly.

Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring per diem Speech Therapists to join our team!

Weekly pay up to $60 an hour.

As a Speech Therapist, you provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation to a general rehab caseload; participate in the clinical team process; provide teaching and training to caregiver staff; and supervise other assistants, aides and students as required.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Speech Therapy required.
• Must possess a speech therapist license in Massachusetts.
• Prior experience in skilled nursing preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Screens patients/residents.
• Evaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans.
• May perform additional assigned administrative duties such as: assigning and overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, assuring execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc.
• Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venue includes individual, supervised and group.
• Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program.
• Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers.
• Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.
• Documents activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
• Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
