Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking a Speech Pathology Therapist for the Department of Rehab. The role is per diem with day shifts and 8-hour hours.

Responsibilities include evaluating and planning therapy for patients with speech, language, cognition and swallowing disorders, and contributing to program development within the department.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active state license to practice SLP in the employment state.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA, or SLP-CFs considered with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop treatment plans, and implement therapy for speech, language, cognition, swallowing disorders as prescribed by a physician.
• Assist in developing and implementing new programs to enhance department services.

Overview

We are seeking a Speech Pathology Therapist for our Department of Rehab at Southern Regional Medical Center.

Shift's Available: Days

Employment Type: PRN

Hours: 8 hours

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician.
• Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• 1. Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master's degree in speech-language pathology required.
• 2. Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action required.
• 3. Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), free of disciplinary action – OR - Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.
• 4. At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.
• 5. Current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current.
