Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognition and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities include treatment planning, program development, and collaboration with medical staff. Per Diem position with Day shifts, requires an SLP master’s degree, state licensure, and often ASHA CCC‑SLP or CF eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Clinical doctorate in SLP and/or PhD preferred.
• Active license to practice SLP in the workplace state required.
• CCC‑SLP from ASHA or SLP‑CF considered on a case‑by‑case basis with supervision if applicable.
• At least one year of hospital-based experience preferred.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers certification on hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement treatment for patients with disorders of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing.
• Develop and implement department programs to enhance services.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician. Assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in speech‑language pathology required.
• Clinical doctorate in speech‑language pathology (SLPD) and and or PhD in speech‑language pathology or communication sciences and disorders preferred.
• Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment free of disciplinary action required.
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) free of disciplinary action – OR – Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP‑CFs) to be considered on a case‑by‑case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF) required.
• At least one year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current required.
